Sacramento, California - (3/5/2020)
The Sacramento Mandarins is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the coronavirus. We realize that the situation is changing daily and we have our finger on the pulse of the latest information that is coming in locally and regionally. All of our organizational decisions will be made with the understanding that the health and safety of our members, staff and volunteers is our first priority.
We are currently monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the California State Department of Health, local hospitals, local school districts and air travel advisories. The information that we gather from these sources will enable us to make the best decisions for all of our Mandarins programs.
In addition to all of the standard prevention guidelines that have been shared elsewhere, we continue to develop more specific protocols that are more tuned to our activities. These include processes for food service, hand sanitization, sleeping arrangements, non-instrument sharing, travel restrictions, etc. Our focus is to reduce the spread of the virus, while also caring for anyone who has become symptomatic.
We will continue to issue updates as conditions evolve.
As always, thank you for your support for the Sacramento Mandarins.
