2020 Season Auditions Begin in California and throughout the U.S.
The Mandarins are pleased to introduce our 2020 visual team led by returning Caption Manager Joseph Hayes. The 2020 visual team features all returning instructional staff; they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Mandarins and we look forward to the continuing opportunities that this instructional team will bring to the 2020 membership. Hayes stated, “I am pleased that the visual team that took our drum corps to seventh place in visual proficiency at last year’s DCI world championships is returning. Their knowledge and excellence on and off the field are unmatched, and 2020 should be another exciting year.” “The experience and talent that this team brings to the Mandarins is very impressive, and I have no doubt that the members will continue to benefit in 2020 and beyond,” stated Corps Director JW Koester. Program Director Ike Jackson added, “I am excited that Joseph’s team has returned and I expect continued growth within the Mandarins drum corps. This is an exciting time for our organization as we continue to pursue excellence and creativity while presenting entertaining programs for our fans.”

The Sacramento Mandarins in 2019 achieved something that hasn’t been in done in about two decades. As a DCI Finalist in 2018, the Mandarins repeated for a Top 10 ranking for the second time in a row. The Mandarins are proud to have impacted the lives of thousands of youth, teaching them the values of respect, leadership, discipline, and good citizenship with a true sense of purpose.
