The Mandarins is pleased to introduce our 2022 percussion team led by returning Caption Head Ben Pyles and front ensemble coordinator Andy Filipiak. The 2022 percussion team returns their entire 2021 staff along with some new instructional staff who bring additional talent and experience to the Mandarins, and we look forward to the high level of excellence that this instructional team will bring to the 2022 membership. Creative Director Becca Anderson stated, “We could not be in better hands with our percussion team under Ben and Andy’s leadership. What they have already brought to the Mandarins in such a short period of time shows that the future is very bright for the Mandarins percussionists.” Pyles stated, “I am extremely proud of the consistency of our percussion team from the 2021 season. We have a few new faces that we are really excited about, but there was very little turnover from 2021. Our goal is to build on the momentum from our first year with the organization. We all share a passion for creating a world class member experience over anything else. I genuinely love working with these people.” This is an exciting time for our organization as we continue to pursue excellence and creativity while continuing to present entertaining programs for our family and fans. “I am very pleased that the entire percussion team returned for 2022 and I look forward to the percussion program continuing to excel while taking the members to the next level of performance excellence,” stated Corps Director JW Koester.
