We are proud to announce that our former President and CEO of the Sacramento Mandarins, Jim Tabuchi, was recently awarded the Lunar New Year Community Impact Award. The presentation was made on January 20 during the halftime ceremony at the Sacramento Kings game at Golden 1 Center before a packed crowd.
Besides providing leadership to the Mandarins organization for many years, Jim is the Program Director for the Mandarins Music Academy which serves over 1,000 youth in the Sacramento region; Program Director for the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce Catalyst Leadership Program which develops and connects diverse emerging leaders throughout the Sacramento region; and Program Director for NextGen Empower U Program which focuses on empowering the next generation of diverse leaders, ages 18 – 25, to be successful in many facets of their lives.
Jim stated, “What a memorable night! It was such an unexpected honor to receive the Sacramento Kings’ Community Impact Award tonight. This heavy Kings Crown is one of the most unique awards I have ever seen. I am so appreciative of the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce for nominating me for this award. And thank you to the Chamber, the Sacramento Mandarins, and the community for continuing to provide me with the opportunities to impact so many lives.”
Congratulations, Jim!
